We will have a special IFISC seminar on Tuesday 8th March at 15:00. This is a webinar organised jointly with the Institute of Physics presenting a recent special issue in JPhys Complexity, titled `Complex Systems Approaches to Information Processing’, edited by Maxi San Miguel, Claudio Mirasso and Ingo Fischer.
PLEASE NOTE: You need to register for this event ahead of time. This can be done here:
The general topic of the webinar is the subject of the research program of IFISC´s Maria de Maeztu Unit of Excellence. This event brings together five different perspectives from this endeavour - all contributions from the special issue - and aims to explore the role that complex systems science plays in connecting the various involved fields. These speakers are:
Karoline Wiesner: Professor of Complexity Science, Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Potsdam, Germany Hiba Sheheitli: Postdoctoral Researcher, Institut de Neurosciences des Systèmes, Inserm and Aix-Marseille University, France Marc Timme: Chair for Network Dynamics, Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (CFAED), TU Dresden, Germany Daniel Gauthier: Professor of Physics at The Ohio State University, USA Roberta Zambrini: Tenured researcher at IFISC
Everyone is invited to participate in the round table discussion closing the webinar.
