Talk on Thursday Apr 27, 2023 at 11:00 Place: IFISC Seminar Room Title: Constructive effects of squeezing in loop-based quantum photonic architectures for quantum reservoir computing Speaker: Jorge García, IFISC Abstract: <p><strong>MdM Quantum Meeting</strong><br /> <br /> Squeezing (field fluctuations below shot noise) is a quantum phenomenon that has proven to be key to several quantum technologies. In this talk, we will introduce quantum reservoir computing (QRC) based on an optical platform with a cavity to guarantee the presence of memory. We have studied the benefits of squeezing provided by a nonlinear crystal inside the cavity for time series processing. Concretely, we show that increasing the squeezing improves the reservoir robustness to readout noise.
